World Book Week

In celebration of World Book Day on March 1, we are running a book drive from Monday (February 26) to Friday (March 2). We are collecting ANY and ALL types of books! All the children's books will go to the Sunantha Camila Foundation's preschool in Colombia for children of high risk (living in extreme poverty, victims of sexual, physical and verbal abuse, malnourished, in poor health, etc). Everything else will be donated to More Than Words - an organization that empowers youth in foster care, court-involved, homeless, or out of school to take charge of their lives by running their own business. Books donated to More than Words are sold by the youth, employing them and teaching them various job skills to help them become productive members of society. Next week, we will have 3 drop-off locations for books at Boston University: Kilachand Hall, 625 Commonwealth Avenue, and Fitrec. Please consider donating some of your unused/unwanted books. Also, we have a GoFundMe going on, if you would like to provide cash donations. All cash donations will go towards buying more children's books to donate to the Sunantha Camila Foundation.
